Route Information

  • Monday to Fridays departing Strahan at 7.30am connecting to the Burnie departure at 8.20am from Queenstown. The service arrives in Burnie at 11.25am allowing connections with Metro's Hospital Link services to Devonport and Latrobe. Use the metro service to Devonport and catch the Spirit of Tasmania. Services on Monday and Friday now depart Burnie   at 3.00pm returning to Strahan 6.40pm

  • New service Sundays departing Strahan at 1.30pm arriving Burnie at 5.15pm. Departing Burnie at 6.00pm returning to Strahan at 9.40pm

  • You can book via our online booking request form, or with our friendly customer service consultants
  • Ensure you are at the bus stop 10 minutes prior to scheduled departing time and hail the driver.
  • Services operate 7 days see timetable for further information 
  • Route 747 – Strahan, Queenstown , Zeehan* , Rosebery, Tullah, Waratah* , Hampshire, Highclere, Ridgley, Burnie
  • * Bookings must be made for passengers wishing to travel to /from Zeehan or Waratah
  • This is a same day return service from Strahan / Queenstown, ideal for appointments, shopping or a day out in Burnie

Detailed Information

From Strahan / Queenstown to Burnie

Route 747 

Departs from Strahan Activity Centre, The Esplanade and the IGA Supermarket in Andrew Street. The Tassielink bus stops outside the Queenstown Railway Station on Driffied street allowing for transfers .

Passengers travelling to /from Zeehan or Waratah must be pre booked.

From Burnie to Queenstown / Strahan

Route 747 

Departs from Cattley St, Stop D Burnie.  Passengers travelling to /from Zeehan or Waratah must be pre booked.

Fridays and Sundays
 During School Term - services operate via Hellyer College


From March 10 this bus service will start operating 7 days per week, an increase from the current timetable which operates 3 days per week.
