Route Information

Service changes from Sunday 20th January

  • A more direct route for passengers with services no longer travelling via Cambridge Park. Cambridge Park will be serviced by Sorell services
  • A route change in Richmond, with services to travel via St Johns Circuit, this avoids the bus reversing in local streets which is unsafe
  • Colebrook is proposed to be serviced by an Area Connect service (in place of bus services) which will better suit the needs of the community
  • Slight reduction in weekday services to enable provision of more Saturday services and new Sunday services
  • Campania will have 10 services on school days
  • Richmond will have 12 services on school days
  • Both Richmond and Campania will have six services on Saturday and Sunday
  • Hobart CBD stop changes, Campania and Richmond services will drop off and pick up passengers at Elizabeth Street (town hall). Services will no longer pick up and drop off at Brisbane Street or drop off at Franklin Square
  • All services will start and finish at Elizabeth Street (town hall), students will need to transfer onto other services to travel to Hobart based schools.
  • Route numbers will change for both Campania and Richmond services:
  • Campania to Hobart: 726
  • Richmond to Hobart: 725

    *a service is a one way trip, so 10 services usually means five return trips

How to catch a bus. 1. Get to the bus stop a few minutes before your scheduled departure time, if possible 5 minutes before departure time. 2. At the bus stop, stand in a visible spot so the driver can see you in time to pull into the stop. 3. As the bus approaches, raise your hand to signal the driver that you want the bus to stop. Keep your hand raised until you see the bus indicate to pull into the stop. If travelling at night use your phone light to signal driver, keep phone light up until you see the bus indicate to pull into the stop 4. Have your Greencard or cash (as close to the correct amount as possible) ready before boarding. 5. Let the driver know your destination and pay your fare How to disembark a bus. 1. Press the stop button near your seat when approaching your desired bus stop. 2. Ensure you have all your belongings with you before exiting the bus. 3. Wait until the bus has come to a complete stop before leaving your seat to exit the bus or hang on to the rails to ensure your safety.
